To provide professional and personal development for OMS practice administrators that align with our 6 core values.

Our VISION

SOMSA will provide its members the opportunity to belong to an organization recognized as the leading national authority on all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice management.

Our VALUES

  1. LEADERSHIP. Cultivate excellence in OMS practice administrators as they lead staff teams towards practice goals while also navigating their unique seat at the table with doctors and partners.
  2. EDUCATION. Provide educational programming designed to meet the unique professional needs of OMS practice administrators.
  3. AUTHENTICITY. Encourage authenticity in our members as they lead with humility, integrity, and courage in interactions with doctors, staff, patients, each other, and the public.
  4. INNOVATION. Influence industry development by encouraging and supporting our members as they intentionally innovate towards growth and profitability in their practices.
  5. COMPLIANCE. Foster compliance in our members’ practices by raising awareness of law and regulation changes, so they can ensure staff and patient safety and manage risk for their practices.
  6. NETWORKING. Organize opportunities for our members to strengthen their professional relationships between other OMS practice administrators and with vendors, for the benefit of their practices and our community.
